Minority Women in the U.S.
Unequal Sisters
I love to read and I love it even more when a required text for a class is something enjoyable like Unequal Sisters! The text provides us with 36 essays describing in detail women's history through mulitcultural aspects. Race, culture, and sexual diversity are topics touched in each of the essays. As a woman it is important to know our history and everything that has led up to where we stand today. I also think it is important for men to acknowledge and understand women's history. We have to understand that we as women have come a long way from not being able to vote or work, but we do not have equality in the workplace. This is called a gender gap and in the past decade there has not been a budge to make the gap equal, we have to fight for our rights! While reading Unequal Sisters we read about the fight so many women have fought throughout history and in all honesty the fights we are still going through today.
